If you are like me, you have never been aware of technical writing, leaving a lot of room for questions. What exactly is technical writing? Technical writing is used to convey information and is based on facts, which at times requires extensive research. That research is then condensed into concise, straightforward sentences that are easily understandable to the general public. This includes procedural manuals, assembly and installation instructions, proposals, and even resumes. Technical writing relies heavily on visual communication to explain complex information clearly and accurately. In the digital age, that translates to videos, blogs, and PowerPoint presentations. Technical writing encompasses a broad range of genres, so although it may not be widely recognized, many people would excel in it within their own niche.
